Andrew Skurman Architects

Before opening his San Francisco architectural firm in 1992, he apprenticed at I.M. Pei & Partners and subsequently worked for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, which was followed by Gensler. With his breadth of knowledge and collaborative nature he has teamed with many of the Bay Area’s top interior designers to create unique homes. Skurman’s contributions to architecture are not limited to his own firm; he serves as Creative Director of the San Francisco Fall Antique Show and President of the Northern California Institute of Classical Architecture & Art. Beyond San Francisco he received the honor of being named a Chevalier of Arts & Letters by the French Minister of Culture and he will be the visiting artist in residence at the American Academy in Rome in March 2013. Recently, Princeton Architectural Press published a monograph of Skurman’s work ‘Contemporary Classical.’
